Post Animal Milwaukee Concert reviews
Meh.
I don't know what I expected out of this show... But it was pretty typical/bland Post Animal performance. I think he is a "family-friendly" comic, but everything about this show felt watered down. Most of his jokes were recycled from his old routines, and the few new jokes he tried were quite predictable jokes about his usual themes: self-deprecation, food, religion, family, etc. To add to this, it was very apparent that his lack of enthusiasm and charisma for his career was palpable. If you've watched his stand-up on television or heard his bits on the radio, you've pretty much seen all there is to see with Jim Gaffigan.
Ted Alexandro (the opener) was hilarious by the way. My recommendation is to check him out. If you've already bought tickets for this tour and somehow stumble upon this review, catch Ted Alexandro's act and then consider leaving after his performance.
